To become a SUPERMUM or go crazy trying?

I recently asked on Russian Smoochies Facebook page…
What do YOU do to be a super mum?
What did YOUR mum do that made u think she was a super mum?
What do you THINK is a super achievement a mum could do?

As I am a young mother (of only 25 this year) I know there is always room to grow… lately it seems to be around my waist (heehee) but it’s because I run out of time to complete all my tasks and find myself buying takeaway or cooking easy starchy meals e.g; pasta, rice, etc.

When my children were younger I was able to accomplish so much more. I really was doing a great job as a housewife and a play-school mummy... My House was A+ spotless. I baked a minimum of three tummy pleasures (cakes, savouries, slices) a day. On top of that three regular meals for the family. Also I found many pleasures in arts and craft through the day; Scrap-booking being my favourite. Lets not forget playtime, bath-time, change-time, reading books and all that for my little treasures.

But back then I felt I lost my identity I made myself crazy trying to find out what a Super mum is trying to perfect myself when I was JUST RIGHT!
It felt wrong of me to be such a perfectionist that I lost all focus and went on a downward spiral of just doing the necessities and thinking I needed to recover from all that hard work; which didn't feel hard back then, it was a change of thought patterns!

In saying all that... Its made me look at things in a new light the past few day... It's time to change our thought pattern because really perfection is what we make it, even if the jobs aren't done! YOU DID A PERFECT amount as long as you remembered to be kind to yourself... because no mother is perfect.

Here is a fantastic comment on Russian smoochies facebook page from a great facebook fan:

Mums who can do it all simply amaze me. Clean house; take care of their appearance, exercise, crafty activities etc. with the kids, beautiful home cooked meals, keeping on top of the laundry/ironing, time out for themselves with friends, time out for themselves with their partner. I try to get the balance right, but it's hard! Do women like this really exist, or is it a facade and behind closed doors we're all on Struggle Street????
